Shibori Masterclasses with MiH

Last week I had the honor and real pleasure of traveling to the MiH headquarters in London to teach a series of shibori classes in conjunction with the launch of our capsule collection. Each day we examined the history, alchemy and beauty of the natural Indigo plant, various ways of creating an indigo vat, as well as the delicate process of indigo dyeing. Next we dove into learning the foundation techniques of the art of shibori, along with the conceptual ideas surrounding surface design concerning ready made garments.

Every day the attendees created wildly different, beautiful works on the sublime blouses provided by MiH. It was all more fun than my jetlagged and overheated brain (it's nearly 95 degrees at 9am) can put into words at the moment. I would like to genuinely thank everyone involved.  I've arrived home inspired and deeply touched by all of your kindness and beauty.
