Medicinal Magic Body is traditional herbal medicine created around our proprietary, nutrient-rich, skin-healing herbal oil.

The addition of iconic black seed known in the East as the oil that cures everything but death. It comes from the black cumin seed and has been studied and proven to kill skin cancer cells when applied topically, as well as various kinds of cancer when consumed internally.

Borage seed oil scavenges free radicals, soothes inflammation, decreases redness, acne and has shown in clinical tests to have a positive effect on eczema and psoriasis.

Our meadowfoam oil is grown in the PNW as a wild plant and is hand wildcrafted. Meadowfoam seed oil is filled with high levels of anti-oxidants and is extremely hydrating without being greasy.

Organic camellia oil is highly moisturizing and quick absorbing, so it does not leave the skin feeling oily or greasy. The high levels of anti-oxidants make it a key proponent in reducing appearance of scars, moisturizing, reducing appearance of fine lines, and to help protect skin from UV rays.

Sea Buckthorn oil is a natural source of phytonutrients, vitamins A, B1, B2, B6 and vitamin C. Packed with an incredibly high concentration of Omegas 3, 6, 7 and 9, which fuel skin repair and regeneration, it can help with anything from reducing blemish scars to brightening a dull skin tone.

Virgin rose hip seed oil is from the first press of the seeds or the rose bush, so your products will have the highest level of anti-oxidants and plant benefits. Rose hip oil is rich in vitamins A, C, E and essential fatty acids. These fatty acids are anti-inflammatory and can improve signs of aging, pigmentation and moisturize the skin.

*Calendula is a powerhouse of antioxidants and packed with flavonoids and carotenoids that work to neutralize the damage causing free radicals. Its gentle, calming ability makes it wonderful for sensitive skin.

*Cleavers are a wonderful full body healing herb that is legendary for its use in stimulating lymphatic health. They have a natural affinity for the skin and have a long revered history in the treatment of all forms of skin disease.

*Comfrey contains allantoin, a substance that helps new skin cells grow. This along with rosmarinic acid and tannins to reduce inflammation, it keep skin healthy and helps to heal bruises, pulled muscles, sprains and strains.

*Neem is a crucial part of Ayurvedic Medicine. Research has shown that it balances oil production, stimulates collagen formation, reduces acne scars and hyperpigmentation. Essential fatty acids from the leaves of the plant help the oil sink deep within the skin. Regular use of neem oil increases the skin's ability to absorb other subsequent active ingredients and helps to maximise the impact the rest of the components.

*Plantain leaf has acclaimed since ancient times for its ability to stop blood flow and heal tissue from all manners of stings, burns, rashes. It’s full of nutrients, including beta-carotene; vitamins B1, C, and K; calcium, magnesium, copper, and zinc. It is unique among herbs due to its ability to draw out toxins from the skin and body. Historically it has also been used as a natural antibiotic treatment.

*Rose hips are rich in vitamins A, C, E and essential fatty acids. These fatty acids are anti-inflammatory and can stimulate collagen production to improve signs of aging, reduce pigmentation and moisturize the skin.

*Yarrow root and leaf contain astringent and anti-inflammatory compounds to soothe redness, mend and revitalize the skin.

*Sea buckthorn oil has an abundance of active ingredients. The oil used in skincare can be from either the seeds or berries, each offering slightly different benefits. We use both Sea buckthorn seed and fruit oil in our formulations to utilize both Omega-6 and -7 to promote healthy skin at a cellular level. Sea buckthorn seed oil contains the unsaturated fatty acid gamma-linolenic acid (GLA), an example of an omega-6 fatty acid, that helps repair and regenerate the skin and improve skin tone and texture. It is also rich in phytosterols, a plant compound with many benefits, including enhancing the skin's natural protective layer by strengthening the stratum corneum, the skin's outermost layer, and improving its ability to retain moisture which reduces dryness and flakiness.  Its berries are especially rich in vitamins A, C, K, and E and contain considerable amounts of iron, calcium, magnesium, potassium, copper, zinc, and palmitoleic acid, a type of fat naturally found in human skin that can be used to treat burns and promote wound healing.  Sea buckthorn is a good source of linoleic acid (LA), an omega-6 fatty acid that’s the most abundant fatty acid in human skin. Research suggests that linoleic acid may reduce acne and psoriasis.

*Lemongrass oil soothes aching muscles, calms feelings of anxiety, and offers protection against insects and bugs. In addition to its ability to help relieve stress and anxiety, the citral in lemongrass essential oil has been shown to help ease pain as it relieves inflammation. According to a 2017 study on people with rheumatoid arthritis, topical lemongrass oil decreased their arthritis pain. On average, pain levels were gradually reduced from 80 to 50 percent within 30 days.

*Holy basil, or Tulsi, is cooling and soothing. Its excellent anti-inflammatory properties work well in warding off skin irritations and healing small wounds and acne. Also rich in Vitamin C, it boosts skin cell metabolism and lends a brighter complexion, firmness, and elasticity to the skin.
